I think I would do the same thing Kevin. Buy some Dupont Black Chrome rattle can stuff and get busy, lol. Would be way cheaper than buying a bunch of parts. If you do get a rock chip in the grill you can always touch it up. Just make sure you do proper prep work to the pieces before you paint that way you get optimum adhesion.
