Pick up new HHR tomorrow. Anything to watch for?
Pick up new Daytona Blue 1LT 5spd with chrome package, rails, and running boards tomorrow.
Looking forward to some good gas mileage, space, and smooth ride. I know it's not a rocket, but that's what my other car is for (see screen name). Besides, it's funky cool!
Any help is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

First off...welcome to the group. This is a great bunch of people who have great ideas and tons of knowledge. Congrats on your new car...you're gonna love it. It's fun to drive and lots of people are gonna stare and point and say wth is that.
Things to watch for at delivery:
Have them open the hood and fuse box and make sure all the fuses are secure...we've found that almost all are not snug like they should be.
Cars come by rail, so run your hand across the paint, especially the roof and see if it feels smooth. If they haven't done a super good job of detailing, it will feel gritty from rail dust.
If your state requires a front plate, make sure they attach the front plate, it takes a tool that not everyone has.
Closely inspect for damage...one person found hail damage when they got theirs home.
Also make sure both keys work, especially if the made a duplicate for you. My dealer couldn't find the 2nd key and made one for me and when I went to use it, it wouldn't start the car until I tried about 10 times and then it programmed itself I guess.
Other than that...I can't think of much off the top of my head...so drive off the lot with a big grin on your face and enjoy your new HHR. We look forward to getting to know you and hearing about mods you're going to do.

This is a great group of HHR BretHHRen who are informative, easy to get along with, and entertaining! I have had absolutely no problems w/my HHR, but it appears others have had to deal w/loose fuses. Other than that, enjoy!
