You're right! I just got to work though and my key is stuck in the ignition! What the hell am I doing or not doing?

Pics coming soon... as soon as I figure out the key situation.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I know I'm not going to explain this very well but here it goes, if pressure on the steering wheel it can be hard to remove the key. Try turning the steering wheel to release the pressure, then try to remove the key. In the owners manual it also mentions about the key getting stuck, that also might be the problem. Keep us updated, good luck.

Tried it. Didn't work. I have to bring it in Saturday morning. Til then the key will be in the ignition... unless of course for some strange reason it comes out.

Did you check the owners manual about removing the key from the ignition?

There's a thread here that has a couple other suggestions. Is it an automatic or stick shift?

Please refer to the thread that Deb mentions. It was started by me, for some strange reason, the HHR did not want to let the key go. It was stuck in the ignition for several hours, and then when trying once more to remove it, it just came out as if nothing was wrong. Reported it to the dealer, and they just said, "Uh........never heard of that one."

Just keep trying through out the day, I don't know what it was w/ mine, and hasn't happened again.
