POS and GRD cables?

So I had to remove fuse box couple days ago and now I am not certain which cable goes where….both of the large gauge cables are red but the one I think is the GRD has about 2” of black insulation or shrink tubing on it up at the terminal.

I know the small red wire was in the back closest to master cylinder.

I’m not thinking I want to connect the battery till I’m sure.

any help appreciated.

Thanks

2 terminals. Both POS. The one to the back is the smaller wire for the power steering wire (POS)
None of those are a ground. Not sure why you would think that.

Pos cables…

Ok….now I have both large gauge cables on the front POS terminal and steering in the back. Does this look right?

Which ground ? There are several throughout the car. Don’t have my schematic handy but maybe someone will post a ground locations list for you.

Look in the How To section of the forum. There is a thread or 2 about ground locations.

Everything you ask for is in the shop manual.
There is an entire thread devoted to "ground Locations" taken from the aforementioned shop manual: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...cations-56504/

Why do people think a RED wire would be ground? Why don't they notice the sticker on the fuse box lid? Until you look in the Owner Manual or look at that sticker do not jumpstart your HHR.
