POS and GRD cables?
#11
That is true, I would think it would be. I was just trying to save myself some time and hopefully draw on to experience for members here. Thankfully many of you replied to my post and I appreciate it.
Yes I saw the sticker….and I have jump started the car before but only couple times when I first bought the car….ground to shock tower bolt.
I dont have owners manual.
As far as I know, I dont have a ground problem or any other electrical problem but Since I had to take all that fuse box out doing the shift solenoid swap….hope I havent created any issues.
I guess for me…..years of cars having battery and cables under the hood….old habits.
Thanks for the info.
Oh….I do have some helpful info concerning axle seal kit. I was having all kinds of trouble trying to get the retaining clip on the splined stub cause when I would try and spread it open with my snap ring pliers it would slip off ever time. Lot of concern of loosing it into the transmission. The problem was the lack of any angle on the ends of the retaining clip. So I used a file an under cut the inside of the ends about 5 degrees so the outer tip was where it made contact with the pliers when spreading it. Worked well for me, first time I tried it after that.

You need to make sure you have your red power cables in the correct position
See how X5 has two larger cables? See that X6 has just one thinner cable to it, that’s the electric power steering lug, only the one wire!
