Thanks everyone! Fingers crossed! We went up yesterday to look around at it without pesky salesmen bothering us. And there were quite a few other people on the lot. Anytime someone slowed down near it I'd give them the stink eye hahaha

Kayla , Welcome to the site, I researched mine from 2007 till late 2009, all kinds of positive and negative advise about the HHR, and yet I have put on 155,000 miles and no major issues, sure the brakes and shocks and springs ( I choose to lower it) but all in all , great car, very comfortable, good gas mileage, I say go for it!! and enjoy the ride!!

If you plan to buy to keep and drive until the wheels fall off I'd say go for it...otherwise I'd honestly be scared to buy another one.

Welcome Kayla,

You started in the right place for research.I did mine here as well and now have 2 HHRs

Whoppers post covered all the "sore spots".

Be sure to book the weekend off and bring your new ride up north!!

I have an 08 Panel I bought new, 70,000 miles on it and no 'non-maintenance' issues. Replaced front struts at 60,000, brakes about the same time. Headlight bulbs are a pain to change, you have to pull the fenderwell liner back to get at them.

Hey just calling it like I see it. The Cobalt's already have horrible resell value...the HHR's really aren't that bad. My opinion is that I won't buy another one after mine goes caput.

I absolutely love mine!! It rides so nice, great gas mileage(I came from a 4.3L 4x4 Blazer...Ouch on gas!), super comfy and so cool lookin'!! There's so much that I still want to do to it, if it crapped out, I would get another one and start over!! My $.02!
