Power Seat Height

Just picked up my HHR from a month of repairs today, and after driving the cobalt rental, I notice that the roof is considerably lower on the HHR (sunroof).... has anyone had any luck lowering it even more somehow? Does the manual seat provide more headroom? Kind of annoying now.

i found different ways to adjust and tilt the seat to get it into it's lowest spot. Can't really tell you how exactly, kind of a custom mix. I would try every combo of pushing the lever up,down, forward, back, and the tilted diagonals.

I'm 6'2" and my hair sticks up in the front, and i never touch my headliner (sunroof too...)

Just like twisterman said, trial and error w/ the settings. At a shade under 6'5" and with ball cap on, I never have an issue w/ the headliner, even w/ sunroof.

no the manual has less room its the same as the passenger seat I test drove one and had to have the auto seat so I could lower it more no matter how I adjusted the manual seat it felt like i was looking into the top of the windshield. This was befor I got used to seating sort of reclined

I always wish my seat would go a little lower. My biggest problem was on New Years Eve when my tiara kept hitting my headliner....whats a girl to do?

I like my seat higher because it helps me get out of the car easier. I have very bad knees. But, when I raise the seat, my line of vision is very limited. I usually have to find a median spot I can live with.

It took me a while to get my seat to where I like it.

I have a sun roof and at 6 foot and with a hat I have yet to hit the roof. I doo keep my seat low down

If we only had the telescopic wheel like the Malibu now.

6' tall here, almost always wearing a ball cap, and using a power seat, headroom has never been an issue for me either. It might just come down to how you have the seat positioned.

take a peak at the images in my HOW TO thread, and you will see that there really is no way to modify the existing seat tracks or mounting location to lower the seat more.
