I've had a problem with the driver side door lock not fully working. I've already had the entire thing replaced under warranty at the dealer but the problem persists. When I lock/unlock the doors, the driver's lock won't fully raise, leaving my door still locked and I'm left with no option but to reach up and pull the lock up 1/4" roughly to disengage it and unlock my door. Should I call a professional locksmith?

 

Why didn't you take it back, if it wasn't fixed?

Usually the problem is the hole needs to be enlarged, sometimes when somebody has taken the door panel off they don't get the plunger wire in the channel it goes in.

Any body with some mechanical ability and a bit of "know how" can fix it. It is not magic.

 

i agree with Donbrew's answer.
Get a dremel or a drill bit and enlarge the hole opening a bit more. Lots of people have had this issue and this has solved it.
or take it back to the dealer and tell them its still not working - and make sure you demand that you're not paying them to re-fix the same issue. Hopefully you're not past the warranty period on that fix.
Or like suggested, do it yourself and makee the hole bigger
