Question about touch-up paint

Hey gang, just got back from a 1500+ mile road trip out here in Cali. Great break-in trip after the initial 500 mile spec. I must've hit a little rock or something but I got a tiny paint scratch down on the middle front valance. You almost can't see it but it made me wonder about touch up paint. I have the new Premiere Edition with the "Cap Frost Metallic". Do I have to order some or does the dealer have all the HHR colors in stock? Thanks in advance for any real world experience. BTW I'll be posting a couple pix and some MPG numbers in a few days. Short story is; for a new tight car it was very decent in mpg...which helps out here where we've just set new records for price per gallon...OUCH!!!

My dealer got me some. It took them a couple of weeks to get it. Some dealers may have it in stock.

I had the dealer order me a couple cans. I don't think many dealerships stock touch up paint but they are always willing to order it for you.

My dealer had a bunch of colors in stock when I needed it, but not daytona blue so we had to order. Took a week.

Where your color is so new, doubt anyone will have it on hand but your never know.

You might be able to go to an automotive paint store and have them make you some up. Might be cheaper than the dealer too. I paid $11 each for 2 small cans of Sunburst Orange Metallic when I painted my intake and a couple other things under the hood. Took about a week for it to come in.

I had to order from the dealer too. I got one of those little touch-up bottles. It was $9.95 and took a week to get. The bottle has a brush and a thing like a ball point pen for small scratches.

you can go to a dealer or paintscratch.com for paint. I've used them from touch ups to interior/exterior paint jobs and the color was a great match.

Cappacino Frost is a color that Impalas used to be (2004 I think) so it should not be too hard to get

Is the scratch into the paint or just the clear coat. If not into paint or just a little it might be better to try scratch remover or buff. The paint is not right on top

That's the bottle I was talking about but I got mine for free.
