I use the Escort CORDLESS solo S2...

I wanted a more portable option - runs on a couple AA batteries & seems to detect well. (Paid for itself the first weekend I had it!) EASY to move between my vehicles - or even in the rentals when work sends me across the country...

Radar detectors are fairly useless in the S. Florida area. The troopers use more aircraft for speed enforcement than radar guns.

x2, I love the smart cord also. I bought the hard wire cord also. It turns on/off with the ignition. No wires dropping down from the rearview mirror. Plus I still have the coiled cord if I want to put it in another vehicle. I had the Passport 5000 prior, it was stolen with my truck. So had to stay with what I knew worked flawlessly. No regrets.
