radio controls

getting a used stering wheel from junk yard with the radio controls what else do i need to get to make them work ?
do i need get the radio also ?
cables ?

There was a wiring change at some point, so if the wheel is from a different model year it may involve switching some of the wires around in the connector.
That said, I was fine swapping in a pontiac wheel from an unknown year without any alteration.

Just look at the wire colors; they changed the positions in the connector at some point but the color codes are the same.

Make sure the colors are the same on each side.
