I've got an 08 LT and am looking for the block heater plug. I've read its located on the passenger side, inside the engine compartment and just behind the headlight. I can't find it anywhere.....are there models that never came with one?

I thought it was a add on.

 

I have a 08 2LT and do not have a block heater. I beleve that it's a dealer installed add on.

 

im thinkin deff a add-on . exp for cars n texas.. maybe come on cars in canada or sumthing.. but for sure not down here

It was standard on my '07, but now:

The block heater was on option for 2008.I ordered one with my car.The plug end of the cord is on the right side of the engine compartment just behind the core support.

 

Yes, check that thread where I posted a few messages. As well as the clamp-on heater I added a heating pad on my oil pan. That one cost 35 CAD plus silicone plus my labour.
