OK, I am ready to buy the 2007 HHR - probably ths LS. Anything specific that I should check carefully for during the test drive that has been an issue for the 2007's?

Tell them that you want to have all the tires have the right amount of air in the tires, They always under presure the tires so you get a much smother ride. Check the ride out with the right PSI in the tires. This way you know what you are getting. Enjoy your ride. I think you need to get a 2LT, and ask if he has a 2006 2LT, and see if you save any money.

Check you ride height, if you`re a tall-ish person. Some complaints about head room, and visibility. (never heard anyone say they found their tire pressure to be off, that`s a new one). Check your fuses when you get home... They`re not yours until you buy/sign on the dotted line.
Get running boards too. Lots of complaints about sand blasted rear fenders.
Listen for rattles, dash seems to have a few..

Get the 2LT you won't be sorry. You're making a good decision.

Ask them if you can exchange the Firestone tires with something else, or ask if they have those specific Firestones in stock. Believe me, you will have problems replacing them if your tires get slashed on the sidewall.

And check the visibility with the rear headrests on. You may or may not have a clear view out the rear window. We removed ours the day of the testdrive.

I wouldn't hesitate for a moment about getting an LS if that's more in your price range than an LT!! We've had our LS since August of '06 and there's been no problem except for a faulty sun visor (Which was replaced). It gets us where we want to go without a complaint.
As far as the running boards go, I believe all 2007 HHR models come with them now as standard equipment. Good luck, whatever your choice!

Cool

I am thinking about trading my DB 06 for the 07 w/black chrome. I went to check it out on Friday and I really like it, just have to see what I can get for the 06.
