Rear hatch

Hello again. Is there any way to open the rear hatch on these things without electric? I need parts from a salvage hhr but all the wiring had been cut. Any help please?

Yes there is a way

To manually open the liftgate, do the following:
1. Remove the trim plug, located on the inside of
the liftgate near the center.

2. Locate the release lever on the latch.
The lever is located about three inches
(7.62 cm) behind the trim in the access hole.

3. Insert a tool into the access hole.
Push the release lever rearward.

4. The liftgate will unlatch when the lever is
pushed rearward. Push the liftgate to open.

5. Reinstall the trim plug.

Seeing as your salvaging skip #5
