Let's call this a "service" release, as most people probably don't even carry a screwdriver or flashlight in their vehicle.

Guess where the screwdriver would be kept if everyone did carry a set of tools in the car..........

Wouldn't be the back in the storage area, would it?

(At least that's where mine is kept.)

You can call it whatever you want......and I'll bet it's been a few "choice" things IF you couldn't find it

. But the Owners Manual refers to it as the Manual Liftgate Release. That would probably make it easier to locate in the book

I keep some small items in the bins right behind the back seat, but the rest is under the floor.
