Hi everyone. I went to put my sunshade in my window this morning and my rear view mirror came loose. It is still up ( not hanging yet!). What is the way to tighten it up? Does the screw on the bottom need tightened up? The metal piece on the glass itself seems to be ok, the mirror itself is just loose. If it helps I do have onstar, and I think everyone would have a wire anyhow because of the maplights. Thank you for your help. I perfer to do it myself instead of the dealer.

 

Haven't looked at mine but it should slide on the metal piece and tighten down with a hex wrench/socket

 

It should just tighten up with the screw you are seeing. Just be careful not to tighten it too much. I'd say just make it snug, but not real tight. Then, next time you're at the dealer if you're still having issues, have them check it out for you...but I don't think I would be inclined to make a special trip.
