Hi, i have 2007 1LT

i'm looking to swapping out the rear view mirror and radio, my car came with the DONNELLY rear view mirror it has the map lights only. i would like to up grade it to the GNTX 511 with on star and auto dim. my question is has anyone ever done this before? and what parts do i need also how do i hook up all the extra wires ?

i'm also looking to up grade the radio. my radio only has the 3.5mm jack but i have all the steering wheel controls. the radio i'm looking is a stock radio with bluetooth. has anyone ever done this before?

I have no idea what those mirrors are, they are both after-market?

Does your car have OnStar?

Stock radios do not have bluetooth that is part of the OnStar module. Some after-market radios have BT andf can use the steering wheel controls.

Welcome to the site, I’ve changed out the mirror to get the auto dim and the compass, but the OnStar is a separate module, my steering wheel controls will mute the radio but no Bluetooth.

Yeah, Gentex was the Auto-dim mirror supplier, and Donnelly was another supplier. Ironically, I think Magna ate them both... LOL.

It should just plug in. The stereo is more of a mystery.
