To the best of my understanding the manufacture (GM) gives incentives (usually larger on last year’s models) to clean out inventory. Around New Years the manufacture cuts a discount deal with the dealer on previous year’s inventory and all rebates / incentives / finance rate from the manufacture are gone. It’s you and the dealer and bank rates. Just like life, then it’s a crap shoot.
