C) so now there is a warranty? Seems like this all started because they would not honor the warranty, or what you inferred was covered by a warranty. I am more confused now than ever.

Seems like I got a piece of paper with specific things written on it, so I would know what was and was not warranted.
Maybe check the title, could this car have been a recirculated lemon? There is a law for that in most states, maybe Federal.
The car is a CPO... that was stated from the beginning

Warranty work was performed the day after the car was purchased, doesn't make it right to sell it as a CPO with work needed.

Other issues were denied warranty work because they "couldn't find the noise" I was talking about. So I did the work myself

More warranty work is going to be attempted next week, and a schedule for recall work to top the cherry.

What is so confusing?

How many miles are on it? (Earlier you mentioned a 12,000 mile warranty - but that doesn't necessarily mean the mileage on the car.)

50k, I have put 10k miles on it so far because I drive a lot for work.

Again, I fail to see how any of this is a General Motors issue.

It's a dealer used car department issue. Even the best built car can be beat into the ground in 40,000 miles (refer to my previous Rolls Royce example)

If I am understanding correctly, it's a CPO GM vehicle purchased form a GM dealer. Doesn't that make it a GM issue?

regrets, I've had a few , but with each and every mile, I wrenched it and fixed my way!! The dealer I purchased my '07 from made promises they did not keep, but I found another dealer who took care of my front hubs, power steering motor, and head gasket.
the other stuff I repaired myself in my own driveway ie.. sway bar bushings and end links, brakes, (swapped to SS rotors> issue resolved.

Well I paid cash for it, so it isn't like I couldn't take a loss and dump it. However I think this is exactly what I will have to do. Get as much covered under warranty as possible and finish the rest in my garage.

I will just have to live with the rest of the cheaper quality issues and since I throw 30k a year on my cars anyways it won't take long to wear this one out.

I bought my 2009 HHR SS with 47k miles on it understanding that GM quality standards are not as good as others makes and yes I could be in for a bunch of problems. Has the regret bug bit me? Oh yes. The car should come with a OBDII reset tool as standard equipment. Are there more problems on this type of performance vehicle as compared to a WRX/STI, Mazdaspeed3, Scion TC and others of that same vintage? Without a doubt (Please save your exceptions, it only proves the rule...you may have got lucky) I thought the low point or reliability was VW products since the three out of four of the ones I have owned have had transmissions failures(Both automatics and manuals). The point is that all cars fail from time to time, some more than others. You bought something made in Mexico and it's a big surprise it breaks from time to time?

But for some reason I still like the car, "ragrats" and all!

It makes it a GM dealer issue, not a GM manufacturer issue.

When you buy used, you buy the reason the previous owner traded it in. CPO should cover this, but again, that is the dealer, not the manufacturer.

That would be like saying you got a bad steak at Outback, therefore ALL Outback restaurants serve bad steaks.

Kinda true - however the way I understand it, GM dictates the program and what the dealers responsibilities are. So, with Outback, if the restaurant does not give you satisfaction you would take it up a notch to the Outback organization.
