Question Replace 4 parts together-would my HHR start

I own a 2007 Chevrolet HHR LS
I found a local 2006 Chevrolet HHR LS - Same Model, 1 year difference! (still starts, just engine knocks)
I am wondering if I take all of these Matching parts from the 2006 and place them on my 2007, will mine start and run to at least get it to my mechanic shop to be adjusted if needed?
Matching
Powertrain Control Module – Under Hood in front of Fuse Box
Body Control Module – Fuse Box
CLUSTER – Speedometer/Odometer
Key Ignition

So I would have to get all of them parts programmed to work together?

2006 2.2L is Ecotec gen I
2007 2.2L is Ecotec gen II
Confusingly, they are both designated L61, but there are big differences.

It would be well worth it to find a 2007. Pretty sure a 2008 would be fine, too, but their must be slight difference because the HP rating is different. 2009 went to VVT/FlexFuel, so don’t do that.

What adjustments does your car need?

My local used auto part junk yard has confirmed that they have a 2007 HHR LS with all objects listed above!
This is the kind of junkyard that gives return policies and is very organized.

??Will it start and be able to drive some so all of them could adjust to a different car, is my question about these matching 2007 parts:
Powertrain Control Module – Under Hood in front of Fuse Box
Body Control Module – Fuse Box
CLUSTER – Speedometer/Odometer
Key Ignition with at least 1 key

I am interested replacing all together, since 1 of my parts does show some wear and I would have to purchase it, get it programmed and who knows what else!
I would like to replace these parts together and keep the removed parts for back-up!

The 4 items you list are coded to the VIN
you will have to have the crankshaft position sensor relearned.

Would my mechanic have to do that or me starting it and letting it run for a while and then driving a little local for it to detect and adapt?
