Tom makes a good point. I'd head back to the dealer and see what happened. Could have just been a mix-up. Was the car new or used? either way though, they should have given you two sets.

Yeah, like mentioned here you should be able to get the dealer to do a free programming for you.

IF NOT, go to a locksmith. Most reputable locksmiths nowadays have the necessary scan tools to do this. They typically charge less than a dealership, and you'll be in and out much faster. I really hate leaving my vehicle for a few hours so they can do a 30 second procedure.

It was used I got it for $10G so I can't complain

Did you get it programmed yet? How did it work out? Ok, they HHR was used and you bought the remote, If you ask your saleman they could throw that in for you I would think.
Good luck, and Orange, Isn't that a Great color.. Got Ideas for mods yet, even some of the smallest things here make the HHR more "YOU"..

I have not had the chance to get it reprogramned yet and I think for now i'm going to get a hitch for it so I can tow my suzuki atv but that is only the begining............
