Had the opportunity to meet JimZHHR and wouldn't you know it, work had me tied up. I am ashamed that I did not have more time to spend with him, maybe in the next couple of days but it ain't looking good. Due to a loss of 4 staff personell I am on a 24/7 recall so I dont have any time free right now. If you ever get the chance to meet with him, go for it !, He is a really nice person and his ride Rocks.. First time I saw the am??, heck cant spell it, purple HHR up close and it is fantastic, not to mention all the mods Jim has on it. Hopefully I will get the chance to at least have lunch/dinner with him before he heads back to CA.. If not maybe in the not too distant future I will take a little trip to CA to see him.. The Fat Lady ain't singing yet so all is open...

if you have a 2.4, did you run regular unleaded all the way or did you try some premium? with my 2.4 on premium I have seen 32 mpg. on the interstate at 70 mpg.

If there`s any complaint I have about the HHR, it`s the arm rests, both.
The middle ones are too short.
Have a safe trip, I`ve done that a couple times. Back in the 70`s - 90`s, not in the HHR.
S.D. to Chi. and a couple times LA. to Chi..
Once LA. to Talledaga-Chi.- LA. Mrs. B/B grow up about (3) miles from the race track (Superspeedway).

I'm going down to New Orleans on 4/2 - 4/6. We are flying down but I will try to rent a HHR.

I am trying to take pictures of my HHR at 'points of interests' around my home town.... one thing i forgot about was gravel roads, the rear hatch of the HHR is a DIRT MAGNET when driving down gravel roads.

Really not much need of a car in New Orleans, if you get a hotel near the French Quarter or at least on Canal st. most things to see are in walking distance. Unless you goin there for other reasons.

I personally like the Double Tree Hotel @ 300 Canal St. right across the street from the Harrah's Casino and RiverWalk, and only about 3 blocks from Bourbon Street, the heart of the French Quarter, just get a shuttle from the airport. and you HAVE to go to Mother's Poboys, which is around the corner, some damn good food.
