Does anyone know for sure if the front seats out of a cobalt SS will fit the HHR? The rails in the pics. look the same but I would appreciate knowing for sure before I buy. The donor colbalt is a 2 door SS.

 

They might fit but I would question if you could drive the car with them in. HHR seats are designed pretty different from other car seats I think. They are higher off the floor whereas car seats tend to be lower to the floor. A dealer should be able to tell you.

 

The brackets are of a similar design, but the measurements are off. My recollection is a bit fuzzy, but I'm fairly certain the width of the rails is considerably off, while the length is closer, but still not compatible.

 

Interesting post. I was long figuring on buying a Cobalt after I rented one. The one thing needing replacement in my mind was the driver's seat. It has a bad ridge across my rear end. The first time I sat in an HHR I fell in love with the seat, which fit me perfectly. It is interesting how different frames fit different seats. I am not sure whether they'd fit, but I would certainly drive a Cobalt a while and decide if you really like the seat before you swap. God Bless, Marc

 

I was interested in the mounting because brackets are available for the Cobalt, but not an HHR.

 

These seats will not swap.
