Smile Serpentine belt replacement

Hi! Does anyone know when a serpentine belt should be replaced? I have a 2007 chevrolet hhr, ls, 2.2 liter with 25,000 miles on it.

GM says 150K...... sounds a little too long but that's what's in the manual. You shouldn't need one at 25k though.... Give it a good look over and you should be okay.

Its easy enough to inspect. As long as it is not showing signs of wear, or cracking, it should not be a problem. When you have the car serviced, just ask to have the serpentine belt checked.

Unlike most other cars the belt dosn't run a whole lot of accesories...its short and tight so should last a looooooong time
