Serpentine belt ..

Any of you folks replaced your belt on your HHR ?
when it isnt to see or get to on this car compared to a much older car
how can u gauge if its time to replace it
given it isnt squelling and what not ?

It is hard to tell when you really need to replace a serpentine belt. You can't go by the old way of looking for signs of cracking. I usually just throw a new one on every 50k or so but I think the last time I was in the auto parts store they had a small tool (free, I think) so you could gauge whether the belt was worn or not.
