Can you guys post what type of wheels you have and if you have the shimmy? I'm looking for a pattern with the 17" wheels. Also is your vehicle lowered?

You only care about 17" rims if you have the shimmy? Because I have 17" polished rims but no shimmy.

I'm starting to believe that most owners with shimmy have the 17" wheels...I could be totally wrong on this one , but I'm looking at the possibility.

I have the shimmy but only when I'm at a complete stop and start to drive. It goes away as soon as I pick up speed. I have the chrome 17's and lowered.

Thanks for the responses...
I only experience the shake, albeit very faint, approaching 50mph - 60. Anything < or > and it's non-existent. This problem only exists on acceleration/decleration ... not from applying the brake (negates rotor issues).
I thought about lugnut torque but was almost certain it was a balancing issue. Even after yesterdays visit to the dealer (removed, balanced, and reinstalled wheels), the shimmy lives! I'll pull out the torque wrench and check specs on my ride later today, as I'm sure the dealer torqued by "touch". Still doubt that'll cure the problem. Only other thing I can think of is alignment.
For the record... I'm on OEM polished 17's/stock tires... which have statically mounted weights (not sure how the 16's weights are mounted... I believe the rim has a lip for mounting).

Ok I had that problem once before. It was becasue of an snow storm. Did you ever after either a rain storm, or did this happen after a car wash.
