Silicone grease for weatherstrips?
I used the GM Silicone stuff, once a year, for years. Seems to work pretty well and a tube will last for years, also.
Over the past couple of years, I switched to a vegetable based teflon grease, that I discovered the marine industry uses. Seems to work just as well.....no splits, rotting, squeaks, etc.
Except for 2 vehicles, I don't keep mine for very long. But, those 2 vehicle I used the GM stuff and had no problems after 6 and 10 years, respectively.
On the exterior, I use the Back to Black as well (thanks Deb)
. Hate grey color "black" trim.
