When I bought mine 'certified', I found out it was a prior GM Exec car. The XM was already activated upon delivery. That was October 2010... its still active. Must be on some obscure GM expense account. I haven't looked the 'gift horse' in the mouth and continue to enjoy access to their complete programming schedule. Local radio stations have changed programming and their morning shows have moron issues.

Hopefully, I'll continue to enjoy XM... courtesy of GM...

We probably drive our HHR 2,500 miles a year so it doesn't see alot of use! That along with being a technically challenged family we just like the Sirius for the simplicity, pay and go! No I-Tunes or Pandora, yada-yada..... Heck we still use flip phones, aka dumb phones .....

Mine came from a private original owner with 1 year of Onstar* & XM.....

I got 2 free months of Onstar as well, but I don't use it either.

This is my favorite one. I also tend to get 2 months free from time-to-time by going "Well, I'm not sure I can afford that right now."
