Congrats on the new ride! I'm personally not a Mustang fan, but it does look really nice. Like others have said make sure to check in from time to time. We would love to see any mods you decide to do to it.

You'll have to pry my HHR steering wheel out of my cold dead hands!!
This is the ONE car that 'knocked me dead'.....the color, 5.0 and a 'vert? Only 2000 of them...

Put some Gibson muffs on it and oh man what a sound!

I appreciate the kind words...going back and forth to work with the top down....fabulous!

Hi Tominator ,

Enjoy the Car. I have had my share of cars. A couple of Fords too!!! (LOL)
But my first and only NEW CAR that I should have kept was a 1967RS Camaro!!! It
was Number 10 off the assembly line!!! the first ten were all the same.

The mustangs back almost always lost to us at the drag strip!!! the Mustangs 289 did not stand much chance to my Camaro... 400 hp

Enjoy the heck out of your Tang!!!! Oh and leave some rubber on the tires...(LOL)

Thanks for the well wishes folks!

I've had a lot of cars and trucks in my years and I'm almost 60.

I haven't counted them but the total is over my years of age. Motorhead. Car nut.

I've raced. Modified. And spent a King's Ransom on my cars!

MY HHR SS will be missed! When I say it is among my top ten then that is just about the top period!

If I listed the cars I've had, from the first to the last...if indeed I can remember the all...then by God my HHR SS was at least in the top 10!

THAT! folks is saying something!

Cougar 428.
Road Runner..track record holder for 2 years.
'66 Chevelle
'65 Buick Special
'64 Buick Special
And my Fav....'62 Buick Starfire!
Back when NASCAR was about racing!

I love my cars! My sincere hope is that you have as good a time with yours as I did and do mine!

....Had a '53 Chevy Coupe....factory electric windows and seats....and on and on...

We have a hobby that is distinctive American! Keep the faith!

Really, I had a 1953 Chevy 210 Deluxe, & I know the Bel-Air for 1953 was manual windows too, like my 210 ...

Missing the HHR simply for the utility! Insurance is more. Even hard driving my HHR it got 10MPG more than the Mustang. AND if in a curve the HHR, with mods, would run circles around this stock Mustang.!

As a note, another guy at work just bought an LT. Told him to come here...

I think that Mustang is absolutely beautiful! I love the color and the black top is a perfect contrast to the car. While typically an automobile isn't an "investment", I think your new car will hold its value better than 90% of the cars out there. Nice choice.

I agree with your statement on the "utility". I have looked at many replacement cars for my HHR when the time comes, and nothing is as practical as our HHRs storage wise, fuel economy, reasonable price, etc.
