Solman98; Like you I have a very early build date of a 1st year and feel the same way.

I hope the Honda does well for you. You may find someday that it isn't perfect either. Hondas, for some reason, have gotten the "halo" reputation, but no car is perfect. I paid $14,100 for my '09 and am happy at that price for an economy car. I have not forgotten $4.15 per gallon of gas. The HHR is fun, distinctive, and has personality for an economy car in my opinion.
God Bless, Marc
Very well put. There are no guarantees in life, automotive or spousal.

FWIW: My Bro-n-law needs to think he always has the latest & greatest.

So he bought a new Jeep Commander (supposed to be the Hi-end of Jeeps)..

That thing has been in the shop for everything from tranny issues, to water leaks, electrical gremlins & more things, but that's all I remember..

At least it had warranty to cover these things.

Jeep Commander = Dodge Durango. There's a reason the plant shut down last December.

I agree with other's that Honda's aren't perfect either. I still see a bunch of rusted out Accords running around here. Sure, the engines are reliable, because they stick to the tried and true, evolutionary design and manufacturing process, but I find their styling boring, and/or completely ugly (same goes for Toyota's and Nissan's).

For a daily driver, great, but for fun and style...find something else.

The exact reason I bought one. I saw pictures before they hit the lot and thought, OH OK, but once I drove one and kept seeing them everyday at the dealership I knew I had to have one.

The OP has whinned about his for over a year. I am glad he sold it. He will one day be on the accord forum biotching about it.
