Some statistics you might find interesting
A few minutes ago I did a breakdown of the number of vehicles per year we have registered here.
Granted the numbers are not exactly accurate, as some have registered with other than HHR's, or have not specified that they have an HHR. We even have a few year 2000 HHR's, which will no doubt be real collector items!!!!
However, you might find the numbers interesting:
All Vehicles Including non-HHRs:
YEAR - TOTAL
2006 - 7,013
2007 - 4,875
2008 - 5,725
2009 - 4,336
2010 - 2,274
2011 - 1,483
2012 - 12
Total: 25,718
Just members listing HHR (all models)
YEAR and
HHR - Number
2006 - 6,293
2007 - 4,305
2008 - 5,005
2009 - 3,766
2010 - 2,004
2011 - 1,333
2012 - 12
Total: 22,718
A rough breakdown of Lt's vrs SS models:
SS - 2,229
HHR - 23,584

LOL - man there are lots of oddities in the registrations - there must be at least one HHR for every year since 2000. Loved the 2012's as there was a number of them to make them statistically significant.
Ahhh but I want one of the year 2000's. They were available with 3 doors with a rear hatch, and a 3 speed on the column (for the heater motor of course).

The car in much modified and "finished" form is on display at a place called Historic Auto Attractions in Roscoe, Illinois.
It originally sat outside The House Of Cash in Hendersonville, Tennessee, until someone could find a place to store it.
The old House Of Cash Johnny Cash Museum can be seen in it's former abandoned state in Johnny's last music video for the song "Hurt" released shortly before Johnny's passing. The museum itself has since been renovated into office space and the last time I drove by, it was once again unoccupied.
The late Bruce Fitzpatrick, owner of Abernathy Auto Parts and Hilltop Auto Salvage in Nashville, Tennessee, was asked by the record label to build the vehicle for international promotion in 1976. He's the fellow in the bib overalls.
