Strange incident

I had a strange one today. I had stopped my 10,turned the engine off and with the keys still in the ignition the horn started beeping like I had opened the door with the alarm set. I didn't realize it was my car till someone in front of me started looking back at me. I restarted the car and stopped it and that reset the alarm. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe the driver door light button is sticking? Or, more likely, when you turned the key you accidentally hit the panic button the fob?

I'm thinking panic button also. Even if the computer thought the door had been opened, the alarm would not have been armed.

I'll go along with accidental hit on the panic mode button on the fob.

I had turned the car off a good minute before it started blowing. I was messing with my cell phone trying to put a number in memory. Could it be the car's battery? The battery in the remote is getting weak. I have to be closer to unlock then I used to.

Maybe. But the kid playing with mom's keychain out of site somewhere is more common.
