Stubby Antenna

Can someone answer this please? I was talking to a friend about purchasing a stubby antenna and he seems to think the outside thermostat is located on the factory antenna. He is telling me if I replace it with a stubby, then my temp. gauge won't function. Is this true? Is the thermostat located on the factory antenna, or is he just plain wrong? Thanks!

Just plain wrong....

Its on the right front frame, just behind the bumper assembly.

Oh, easy to prove.....just unscrew the antenna and remove it. Then look at your temp gauge.....bet it works.

No problem, jayhawker, that's what WE are here for. Most of us here, just love to solve problems or answer questions and then do the 'kidding", etc.

If I didn't welcome you to this website before, then please consider it done now !!!!!!

Hey Jay
You will find out as I have that their is no such thing as a stupid Question on this site, Both Snoops & HillsdaleHHr are both right.

You will find that everyone on this site is a HHr Family member in one way or another.

Not everyone has a HHr but everyone will do all that they can to find the correct answer to any Question. Once again Welcome and enjoy the ride.
