Stupid People

Well here is another episode of the stupid people in the world. Go to work Thursday with a nice clean car, washed just the night before. All nice and pretty. Park the car, get in the work truck, go to work, come back and what should I find?!

No info, no insurance, just the scrape. Today I went and got my first estimate to get it fixed. 400 bucks. Man I'm pissed. Only good thing I can say about it is that work is actually going to pay for it.

Bummer, dude! That really sucks.

I thought I was safe parking next to coworkers in our lot instead of employees of other companies. Everyone in our office knows my car and knows how particular I am about it. But it didn't prevent 2 -- count'em, 2! -- door dings in one week. One can be buffed out. The other will need some paintless dent removal attention. If I approach the 2 employees, all that will end up happening is the creation of an uncomfortable work environment. Fortunately, the owner of the company (my boss) got very pissed off when he found out ... and is going to cover the dent removal for me. A shame, though, that he has to cover for STUPID PEOPLE!

I'd be looking for a red vehicle where you park. check the lot a few times to see if they return another day...
Sorry 'bout the mess, I'd be pi$$ed too.

It looks to me as if all the red would wipe off with a little compound or mineral spirits, then whats left a little scratch? Still sucks though...but could of been worse

Yes could have been worse. I already used a buffer and fine cutting compound. Took most of the red off, left a deep mark in the bumper now. They said they could sand it down and repaint to never know it happened.

Oh, and about looking for a red vehicle......... all the company cars are red. Every truck, trailer, and fleet vehicle. Only ones not red are the salesman cars. Trucks come and go through the parking lot daily, to different states, and there really is no way for me to go around and be able to check them all. So in that department I am out of luck.

That's too bad. At least it's being paid for.

that's an odd place to get hit while parked. but it really sucks to see.
that's why, if possible, i either park away from everyone or next to cars nicer than mine.
