E10 predates even the Bush administration, so the lefties cannot blame that on Bush, as much as it is going to pain them. There are numerous things that can affect fuel mileage. As for a 10% drop in mileage on E10, I gotta call B.S. on that one. E85 was only costing me 15% vs. pump gas on my Impala. I haven't yet run the HHR on E85, but I expect similar results. Ethanol does have less energy than gasoline, but it is still a viable fuel stock. I had just returned yesterday from two quick trips to Norman, OK and back. There was no discernable difference in mileage in the I-280 between the E10 that was in the tank when I started and the RUG that I filled up with in Norman, OK.

Happens all the time here in CO. But coming down I-70 from 10,000 to 5,000 feet I can damn near turn OFF the car and still do 85 mph. Not that I do but I have been known to coast.

Just got back from 2650 miles from Ne to Tahoe at speed limits. Got 33Mpg on each
tank in my 07 36K 2.2L HHR. Only burn regular--NO corn gas. Did find Castrol Syntec
gives me 2-3 more miles per gallon!
