Fireman.......

Are you saying when you engage the tilt button your sunroof window tilts about 3 inches?

Strange, mine only tilts about 1 inch (roof line to window). But I thought ORIGINALLY mine tilted more than that. I asked a question on the forum about that several months ago. I thought MAYBE I did something to the mechanism when I removed the headliner and repaired the windscreen.

But to the OP.....mine just tilts directly to that position. It does not rise an additional height then lower, to the 1 inch.

Snoopy. I would say it's closer to 2 inches. That 3 inches was kind of a guess, so just disregard that.
If you looked at the 1st picture, it shows it fully tilted.

When hitting the tilt switch I get MAYBE 3/4 of an inch of tilt. Once raised to that height, if I press and hold the tilt button again it will raise to the 2-3 inch height and then automatically lower back to the original 3/4 inch height. Sounds like we are having roughly the same issue.

So this is my sunroof in the tilt position. Just barely high enough to allow air in.

And this is a short video of when the roof is "tilted" and I hold the tilt button for a few seconds. I am not hitting the button a second time to lower the glass, it does this on its own.

SOLVED THE PROBLEM! It seems as if the vent function seemed to have lost its positioning, which is the reason I could raise it to two different heights as shown in the video. All I did to remedy the problem was vent the glass open, and then press and hold the vent button to open again for 20-30 seconds. I then closed the sunroof and pressed the vent button one more time to open, and the glass raised to the 2-3 inch height that it should of been at all along! I'm very glad I didn't have to take it to the dealership.

Glad you figured it out.

Fwiw. I couldn't get your picture or video to open. That's why I didn't comment on them.

Hmmmmmm.....

Now you have me wondering. If I do the same procedure, will my vent open wider than the 1 inch it now opens. First chance I get, I'll try it.

Glad you got it corrected also.

When I closed my sunroof from the vent position it made a loud/fast clicking noise while closing..then popped right back open. Now it won't close all the way..anyone else have this issue and is there a solution?
