Sunroof question

I have a 2006 HHR LT that the sunroof will not open until I reach 30km/h. Is this normal for this year of HHR? Is there a way I can change the time that this can open?

Wow that is strange. It should work at any time. Engine running or not running as long as the key is in the "on" position.

Couple of questions.......

Are you the original owner or did you purchase it resale?

This is an '06. When did this start to happen.....or did you, JUST NOW, decide to open the sunroof?

ANY wiring work been done on the car?

Mileage, model, auto, etc?

Maybe it's one of those weird Canadian safety features.

Down here in the states, mine opens anytime the key is on.
BUT. Most times it won't close when I'm going above 30mph. Why? I think because the windscreen gets in a bind and the sunroof senses an obstruction and the electric motor reverses. Weird.

Originally I thought it was a safety feature in the way you drove fast enough that the snow would clear off the roof before you opened it.

I did by this used about 10 months ago and it has been like this since purchase date. I know there has been a after market radio installed in it. Other than that I do not know the wiring history of this vehicle.

Maybe it's so that when you invade the US you can only use the 50 Cal. over 30 KpH. Give us a chance while we're sitting around drinking "Bourbon" and "Scotch".
