I noticed when I open the sunroof to the rear facing vent position, it opens 3/4 inches measured from bottom of glass to the top lip of the roof.

Does anyone know if this is standard? I thought I would have noticed it before, but alas, I'm generally in the car....not out. I always close my sunroof when I park....so I wouldn't have noticed.

I don't usually use the 'vent' position, but that seems about right...

Based on memory that seems about right, I'll have my wife pop the roof on my 2011 tomorrow to check, with my currently non-bendable leg I can't do it myself.

Yours must be broke Snoopy mine has 1" from roof to bottom of anything.

 

Michelle says its about an inch open in the "vent" position, she appreciates you thinking of her Sam, but she hijacked Boo Boo today anyway. It was sad hearing my HHR rumble out of the garage knowing I'm a couple of weeks away from being able to drive again, this unbend-able leg really stinks.

 

I THOUGHT, from way back, that it looked like is was opened farther than that. Course I was looking from the inside.

My 2010 HHR sunroof opens a full 1" in the rear venting position, measured from the bottom of the glass panel's rim to the top lip of the roof.
