Tailgate/trunk bolt question

Hello everyone, new HHR owner here (1 month). I am looking for replacement bolts that screw into the bottom of the liftgate trim panel just to the side of the pull cup. Anyone know what i am referring to? Can post pic later if need be.
I guess i had one in the car when i got it but didn't know why i had a bolt and washer in the glovebox so i may have tossed it 😱
Thanks!
Doug

Welcome to the site.

If you're talking about these 2 panel trim pins in this picture, they're plastic
"rivet" style fasteners. (have an expansion pin in the center)
No screws in the trim panel here.
Replacements are available at an auto parts store or the dealer.

NAPA has a whole book of Balkamp brand body and trim connectors (with samples), even the ones that look irreplaceable.

If you need to remove the other one for match up just push in on the center and you will hear it click. Then the whole faster can be removed.

To reinstall just reset it push the whole faster back in the push the center till it's flush.

It looks like this when it is reset and ready to install

If you want it in gray, here is the GM part number I got and ordered from GMPartsDirect.com:

"15775345 Liftgate lower trim pinish panel rivet; gray in color. 2 per vehicle. Packaged and sold individually."

15775345 RIVET
