Tailgate won't open

I'll go out on a limb and say this has probably come up before, I just can't find it...
When I activate the tailgate mechanism from the outside I can hear a click (solenoid?, relay?) but the tailgate won't open. I read somewhere about an access from the inside...Any help?? Thanks in advance!

An owner manual is available in my sig. There are directions for manual opening.
Basically one of the decorative bits on the inside cover pops out to give access to the lever.

You'll probably have better search results if you use the word "hatch" rather than "tailgate".

Nope. Your links appear to be working..............if you can see them.
If the member/user does not log in, then they may not see your sig. This is what I see (or don't see ) when I don't log in. No sigs.

It could be the touch pad switch has failed.

Could be the seal is stuck to body.
Could be that both struts have failed.
