Texas HHR owner in the news

It offends me a tiny bit that she calls the HHR a PT Cruiser. But the HOA going after this HERO for his graphics supporting the troops is not cool at all.

I love the way He corrected her that it was not a PT but an HHR. This is an example of the stuppidity of "Homeowners Associations" The signs are not advertising. I guess my vanity plates would be illegal too. Give me a break..

This was back in '09 so I was curious as to what happened. The only thing I could find is this:
As of June 23, 2009, Mr. Larison’s issue have not been resolved but the HOA board has not taken any further action on its threat to assess a fine or tow his vehicle. HOA’s property management firm, Alternative Management Group, Inc., has refused to cooperate in resolving Mr. Larison’s issue by providing any information on the contact information for the board. Consequently, we are preparing a letter to each board member demanding that the HOA rescind its demand against Mr. Larison.
From here. I guess they just backed down in the end.

On the other hand I did find a more recent case about the same HOA.

Wonder what they'd do if everybody moved?

There must be far more pressing issues than this decal. It is his way of expressing his loyalty to his country. To this I SALUTE him. Come on HOA, gimme a break.

AS far as the decals, if you goin to have the rule, it needs to be enforced 100%. In this case, it doesn't seem to be the case. But it's a stupid rule. The homeowners themselves needs to ralley against the HOA. We did that back in 2009 in my neighborhood and got the management company to actually quit. Since then, the HOA is now run by the homeowners with an annual election. So far, it's been good. I even served on the board.

Now the toddler, well I can see that being a problem. One reason I would never live in a appartment type environment.

When I lived in Ft Worth, a near by HOA raised a stink about a neighbors BRAND NEW 2009 F150, saying it did not fit the quality of the neighbor hood and demanded he park it inside his garage.

Another incident with the same HOA got onto a fellow neighbor about his American Flag flying in the front yard.
