Hi Clan,

I wonder how effective the Theft-Deterrent System is on our HHR ...

I heard they only steal purple ones in Canada!
I don't think the HHR is on the most stolen list...............Yet.

Wouldn't it be hard to hot wire the HHR? isn't it missing the "starter wire" ?

But the theft stuff from factory always sucks... aftermarket is the only way to go.

The HHR only has a content theft deterrent, as far as alarms go. Your passkey is what keeps it from being stolen by so called "Hot Wiring". The only way I know of to steal it would be A) Had a key (that was already programmed) or B) tow it C) car jack you.

I have never heard of an HHR being stolen yet and couldn't find any statistics on the internet concerning the HHR for any years.
