Right there with ya... ‘ole GM Tech from 80’s. Ya back in ‘70’s muscle days, thought we were kicking it when we obtained 350 cube 350 HP... then started getting 375+ and that was a rattling loopy idle & required a weekly tune to have a good cruise night! Got into the Rats.... able to get 1 1/2 hp per cube and 2 lbs torque per cube... oh ya, the 70’s had the torque!

These little EcoT’s rock, for such a small 4 banger, they feel impressive! Would like to see & hear them twist higher than 6500, but they Go!
They are fun to twist... one of mine has the 2.4L 5sp... that one is a blast to drive! Just needs a refresh in suspension, it’s currently worn out!

I remember those days, & for your 2.4 to twist higher, have a "tune" put in it..

I'm good with my 2.4L hitting 6500....

If you're making a business decision, don't wait around for an HHR panel; if there's one around at a good price, go for it, they're fairly cheap to own unless you get stuck with major repairs, and even then you can do worse. Consider that you can make any not-panel look pretty splashy and the car will probably cost you less. Or some other make model. If you need to advertise, get it done. This is a biz decision, don't wait for the unicorn car you love.

The OP hasn't been back since starting this thread. Signed up, posted twice and hasn't returned since December.
Guess he decided to go with something else.
