For a little more , a little more drive to get it, a little more cash! A 2010 under 30,000 miles, I'd consider this blue beauty......

But it's SOLD

If you end up choosing an HHR, hope to see you around! We live in the same general area of PA.

other than the vin is there a sticker under the hood? i have been a chevy guy since i was growing up. have had all trucks and the wife has had a cavileir, equinox, traverse, and now a suburban. i currently have a 2007 2500HD duramax diesel truck that i have to sell due to some bills needing paid so the HHR is taking its place. i have been around the truck forums since 2004 and these sites have lots of help and people willing to share what they have done and problems they have. sorry for the story. another thing i was wondering is how much did these HHR's cost brand new?

Have the seller send you a pic of the sticker on the inside of the passenger glove box door. You can then decode all the car's options and equipment with this thread here https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...options-12674/

I am gonna be an outliar and say go ahead with the 2006 w/2.4 . The powertrain seems bulletproof and the 2.4 comes with the added tech that they later added to the 2.2, such as VVT. MY 2006 has the 2.4 and I love it! Of course, I also have to say that the second one either is modified or might be a Shadow edition? I just would pass on the 2.2 thats all.

Crank up the way-back machine and look at post #5.

The eighth digit of the 2006 VIN is P that means LE5/2.4L

You can go to https://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vincards/ to find out what the VIN means for yourself. HHR is a light truck in this scenario.

for a list of what RPO codes (the glove box label) mean look here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...options-12674/

My 2007 2.2 is almost ten years old, I've owned for 7, it has 218,000 miles on it and no major issues and is still getting 32 to 34 mpg!!

Could be right there Aradmahogany - Google searching "HHR Shadow Edition" comes up with similar looking HHRs. SS style skirts, chrome package, etc. Now if it was a FALL EDITION, then it would all be black chrome with the typical LT skirts.

You will see when you search the forums that the HHR is a hit or miss car. I had a friend who bought a 2007 LT that was nothing but problems - he also lived in Yuma, Az, so all his issues could have been from excessive heat.

From my experience, (and I'm sure the other guys will say the same) as long as they're maintained, these little wagons can last quite some time. The ecotec has a rep for being built to last - I even got to talk to someone in the GM corporate offices who said they heard from an owner with a HHR that's going 300,000+ miles with routine maintenance and mobil-1.

I hope one of the cars work out for you!
