Throttle effort too light for me

I have an 08 2.2 auto. I find the throttle travel is too short at in town speeds, and the effort/resistance is way too light. I'm used to keeping a steady foot and driving conservatively. With this car I have to fight to do so. It's almost a deal killer for me.

I'm sure it is a marketing thing. They want you to get a lot of output from a little input, so it seems powerful.

Anyone else feel the same? Any fix? (I doubt it.)

Never noticed this as being a problem.... Different cars drive differently.

What is too light for some is normal for others and what is just right for some is too heavy for them.

I have driven everything from a Callaway Turbo Vette to a Chevelle SS with duel 4 bls to a Kenworth and in each you just have to adjust. After a little time behind the wheel it all becomes normal.

MY wife GTP with the drive by wire was much more noticable as it has variable throttle and it gives you different reaction to the throttle reaction based on the speed your driving.

I thought it was odd at first and now I don't even notice it.

I can think of more important things to be a deal breaker than this since it is different in most cars.

My 07 LS 2.2 is the same..I thought it was a bit too "loose" feeling..its like putting a too light spring on a carb motor.Of course there are those who say elsewise but thats because their car doesn't do it.In town the 2.2 is hard to feather to maintain a steady 25.
Now my SS before the stage kit had a petal I liked because you had to put a little foot in it to make it go, like it had more petal travel at low speeds...but now, after the kit, its almost like the 2.2, almost, meaning its still controllable at low speeds.I also have driven many many different vehicles over this lifespan and I don't agree its just a matter of getting used to it.Some of these have a very light petal, and that makes it reeeeeeal interesting in wet weather as one only has to touch the petal to get those tires spinning. Not a good situation for pulling into traffic. It does make for a spunky start though, never considered that they might do this to make a small motor feel big, as when you get up to cruz speeds it goes away....the petal feels normal again, whereas you really have to put your foot in it to make any kind of speed change.I figured it was just the petal sensor calibrations. Willing to bet if I were to change the sensor the petal feel would change.
