Tire Pressure Monitoring System - Which Type?

My 2008 HHR LS has one rear TPMS sensor not working and I found the part numbers on another post on here:

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM - TPMS
- suggested by 843de
- TPMS Sensor W/Bolt in Valve Stem GM P/N - 15268606 (2008-2011)
- TPMS Sensor W/Rubber Valve Stem GM P/N - 25920615 (2008-2011)

How can I tell which one my model uses? I THINK going by this website I have the rubber valve stem version?

https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-pa...ap-in-13540600

Can anyone confirm? Just making sure I get the right sensor....

I’ve used these on several different years HHR

Perhaps they offer a different part number for the 2008 year, but there have been some part numbers superseded and may include the one in your findings

Do your eyes see black rubber or silver metal?
Steel wheels have rubber stems, The alloy wheels usually have the metal ones.

LS should have steel wheels, with rubber valve stems. My 2011 2LT has alloy rims with rubber valve stems

Your mark II light organic optical sensors are the most reliable way to discern the type.
