Traction Control and Manual Transmission?
Traction Control and Manual Transmission?
I am shopping for my first HHR and I know I want a manual transmission. I've read descriptions of which features are available on which trims except one description indicated that you had to get an automatic transmission if you want traction control. I've seen what sellers post as features of the cars I am considering, though I suspect they may not always know what they have. Can I get and what trim do I look for so I end up with a manual transmission, traction control, electronic stability control, and abs--SS, LT2, LT1, LS?
At 3 am this morning I gave up wading through the morass and decided to come to the forum. Thanks for your tolerance.

Welcome to the site.
I can't quote exact years and trim models on which features were offered. (certain features were added or subtracted over the 6 years of production )
Best way would be to tell us what year and model you're looking at, then we could tell you what we know.
As far as traction control in an automatic only. Not true.
My 2010 SS w/5 speed has traction control and ESC.

to the forums Netram! Have the seller take a picture of the sticker on the inside of the passenger glovebox door and send it to you. It's a list of what the car came equipped with (RPO option codes). You can then decode the vehicle here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...options-12674/
All SS models should have TC and ESC, regardless of trans. My '09 LT 5spd had it as well. If you look at the center waterfall, right above the radio, there should be the adjuster for the interior/dash lights, then the traction button, and the fog light button(if equipped), from left to right.
