But they are equally bad (for you) from the law enforcement perspective.

Only law enforcement, emergency services, and transit busses can legally use those.

If you look close at the shot from the inside you see a green light in the prism that I couldn't see.

Doesn't the location of the prism interfere with your line of sight vision?

No, I was holding the camera high so it would catch the traffic signal. Once its there a couple days you really don't notice it much.

There are three intersections by my house which are difficult to see the signals. This has been very helpful.

I do understand the clutter comment though to me the use out weighs the clutter.

wonder if you could tuck in behind the mirror more and thus avoid that cluttered look. I agree it would bother me a little bit hanging where you have it. But I use a radar detector in my Z28, so I'm used to having a cord hanging down, where I have it placed behind my rear vu mirror.

I was thinking the same thing about the clutter but was afraid to say anything as I have already been accused of stirring up trouble in the short time I've been here. I like the prism but I think I'll try the light-in-sight because it'll tuck right up into the tinted strip on the top of my windshield and (hopefully) be out of the way for my better half.

I got no problem with other opinions on this. Just brought it up as a retro-alt to the light-in-sight which I'd use if I hadn't found this.
