trailer hitch

2.2 auto Ls, with over 700 miles on my 2008 I`ve never got less than 25mpg, great car for the money. Today I installed a draw-tite class A hitch. It took about 1.5 hr ,ramps are recomended as the exhaust ststem must be lowered, no big deal. The panels toward the back are great for accessing the wiring. I picked up the left turn, running lights and ground on the left side and fished a wire in a protected sleeve under the floor to pick up the right turn. the trailer plug cable can be stored behind the panel or brought through a small hole and coiled up in back of the car. Best place for the hitch on the east coast is hitches for less .com . My next project is a roof rack, I am looking at one made by Dyna Sport. Has anyone installed an after market rack?

http://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2008_Chevrolet_HHR.htm Class 1 for 130. Hitches for less same class 1 that I saw was 199. Have been a few thread about roof racks but don't recall anyone saying if they put them on themselves. Gm parts direct have a good price for OEM side rails for around 156 in case you want to know cross bars are $253. Believe you need special tool to install the fasteners into the roof.
