Latest update to the trany delivery will be Monday. It's coming from Lansing so they say. The problem with the trany was the sun shell in the trany broke and caused the case to crack. So a definite replacement was in order. The warranty on this new trany is 12 mths or 12k miles.

Man, you dodged a bullet. Glad it's working out.
Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket.

Welcome to the site Icebarrett.

The place where the points don't matter, yep they don't matter just like a dirt road..

Now might be a good time to look into the extended warranty. I am going to look into it when my miles get to around 34 - 35 thousand.

Hi, you mention vehicle serviced..

Do you also mean the transmission fluid was changed out also? and adjusted as necessary ?

Sun shell????????Sounds like bafflegarb to me. Wonder if it was the planetary that blew up. Sun gear is the centre gear, planet gears surround the sun gear, and the outer internal toothed gear is the ring gear.............

Well I'm pissed. My transmission just gave out on the way home. Push the gas, engine revs but no acceleration. Change gears, no acceleration. Damn. Only have 21,500 miles on my HHR and already the transmission craps out.

If it is, I am returning this damn thing to the dealer and buy something else. It just says alot about lack of quality manufacturing when a transmission goes out 6 months after the car rolls off the showroom floor.

I will have the car towed to the chevy dealer tomorrow and see what they can do. I already emailed them about the situation to give them a heads-up so hopefully if they dont have a tranny in stock(which they probably wont) they can go ahead and order one. I just cant believe this, I cant friggin believe this.
